The Challenge

Project-manage and act as liaison between the client investment group and the equipment supplier (Niro / GEA) for the construction of a $100m state-of-the-art infant formula plant producing 15,000 tonnes per annum.

The project required taking a greenfield site through to a fully operational world-class facility — building, equipment, people, recipes, processes, quality controls and full regulatory approvals — while simultaneously securing a strategic joint venture partner to underwrite the long-term market position.

The Outcome

**Product launched on schedule** with all legislative approvals in place. **Within 6 months of launch**, the company won:

- Ministry of Health benchmark for Infant Formula Manufacturing Quality Systems - Ministry of Standards (ISIRI) benchmark presented to John Watson as Managing Director

Shortly after commencing manufacturing, the company entered into a **joint venture with Danone**, securing its position as the leading infant formula manufacturer in the region.
